The billing journey

Order se bill tak, bina rukawat.

  • Open a table or a parcel. Dine-in runs on tables with running totals; takeaway is one tap. Search or tap the tile, pick Half/Full, add a note like "less spicy" or "Jain".
  • Fire the KOT. The kitchen printer (or the kitchen display) gets exactly what you fired. Order more later — the next KOT carries only the new items, so nothing cooks twice.
  • Correct honestly. A fired line's quantity can go down — the table that returned one water is billed for two. Removing cooked food entirely takes a manager's PIN and a reason, so the day-end explains itself.
  • Settle in seconds. Cash, UPI, card or part payment. The drawer kicks open on a settle, and the GST bill prints with the payment mode on it.
GST, done properly

A bill your CA accepts without a phone call.

  • Tax invoice per CGST Rule 46 — GSTIN, invoice series, CGST/SGST on separate lines, round-off.
  • A continuous invoice series and a day-end document report listing every number issued — nothing missing at filing time.
  • GST you control: switch it off entirely if you aren't registered, and set the slab per dish — a 5% item and an 18% item bill correctly on one slip.
  • Reprint any bill — stamped DUPLICATE with the same invoice number, so the original stays the only original.

A real GST bill rendered by a virtual ESC/POS printer fed by the register's own print bytes: Spice Route Kitchen, DINE IN, Bill T1/2627/00005, Order T1-003, Table T2, item lines in Rs., Subtotal Rs.310.00, CGST Rs.7.75, SGST Rs.7.75, TOTAL Rs.325.50, Paid Rs.325.50, Reverse charge: No

What the bill above actually prints as — rendered by a virtual ESC/POS printer, the exact bytes the register sends, not a mockup.

Rounds & the kitchen

The kitchen cooks only what a KOT named.

  • Fired lines lock. The cart shows what's already in the kitchen with the time it was sent.
  • Round two prints only round two. Add more dishes and fire again — the new KOT carries just the additions.
  • Reprint any slip — marked DUPLICATE, loudly, so a reprint never becomes a re-order. Waiters can also send orders in from the captain app.

Billing questions

Straight answers.

Is the billing really usable offline, or just 'view-only'?
Fully usable. The register keeps its own database on the laptop — punching orders, firing KOTs, printing and settling all run locally. When the internet returns, everything syncs to the owner dashboard on its own. The counter never waits.
Does it make proper GST tax invoices?
Yes — tax invoices per CGST Rule 46: your GSTIN, a continuous invoice series, CGST and SGST on separate lines, and round-off. At day close the register prints a document register listing every invoice number issued and cancelled, with a warning if the series has a gap — that is what your CA files from.
How do payments work?
Settle by cash, UPI, card or part payment — the register records what was taken and prints the settled bill. UPI and card are marked on the bill (you use your own QR/machine); there's no payment gateway between you and your money.
What computer do I need?
Any Windows 10/11 or macOS 13.3+ laptop or desktop — including budget 1366×768 machines. The register is built to stay fast on a ₹25,000 laptop with a 300-item menu.
Can two counters bill at the same time?
Yes. A second register on the same Wi-Fi joins the same store — no per-terminal fee. Each register keeps its own theme and text size, and every bill lands in one dashboard.
What happens if the printer stops mid-rush?
The sale is already saved. The failed print waits in a queue and retries when the printer is back; you can also reprint any KOT or bill — reprints are marked DUPLICATE so the kitchen never cooks twice. If it still will not print, the printer troubleshooting guide walks the checks in order.
