Refund policy

You get three months of the complete product before you are asked for a rupee, so the usual reason for a refund, finding out it does not suit you, should never arise after payment. This page says what we refund, and what we do not.

Always refunded

Our mistake, our money back.

  • A duplicate charge. Billed twice for the same period, we refund the extra in full, and you do not have to notice it first. If we spot it, we refund it and tell you.
  • A charge after you cancelled. Refunded in full.
  • A charge you did not authorise. Refunded in full while we investigate, not after.
  • A fault that stops you billing and that we cannot fix. If EasyKOT cannot do the job it is sold for and we are unable to put it right in reasonable time, we refund the unused part of the period.
Otherwise

The period you have started, you have bought.

Outside those cases we do not refund, whether the period is a month or a year: the three free months are where you decide, and a paid period is yours from the day it starts. Cancel whenever you like: the subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for, keeps working normally until then, and does not renew. A yearly subscription cancelled mid-year is not refunded pro-rata, which is the trade for it costing two months less than paying monthly.

Your data is never held hostage to a billing dispute. Whatever is happening with a payment, your records stay readable in the dashboard. See the terms of service.

How to ask

One email, answered within three working days.

Write to hello@easykot.com from the address on the account, saying which payment and why. We reply within three working days. An approved refund goes back through Razorpay to the same card, account or UPI handle it came from (we cannot send it anywhere else) and banks typically take 5 to 7 working days to show it.

Paying from outside India. A refund goes back to the card it came from, in rupees, because rupees are what we were paid. Your bank converts it at its own rate on the day the refund lands, which will not be the rate you paid at, and it may keep a foreign-transaction fee. So the amount that reaches you can be a little more or a little less than the amount that left. We refund the full rupee amount every time; the exchange rate is not ours to set.

If you are thinking of a chargeback, ask us first. A refund we agree takes three working days to decide; a chargeback takes your bank weeks, freezes the money in between, and ends in the same place. If you raise one anyway we send the bank the receipt, the payment record and this policy, and we do not close your account while it is being decided.

A refund after the tax year has closed. Once a financial year's tax returns are final we can still refund the whole amount you paid, but we can no longer issue a credit note against the original receipt, so keep it for your own records and tell us early if a refund is in question.

Nothing is shipped. EasyKOT is software you download. There is nothing to deliver and no delivery charge: your subscription is active on your account the moment the payment succeeds.
