Set up EasyKOT in a browser
EasyKOT Web POS runs at pos.easykot.com. Use a normal, dedicated profile in a recent compatible browser. Do not use private browsing or clear this profile's site data. Stay online on the first run until the app files, restaurant, menu and bill series have downloaded.
The Desktop App remains recommended for daily counter service. Before service, test an offline reopen and a dummy print on the exact browser, computer and printer you will use.
Set up the register online in 5 steps
Open Web POS in a normal browser profile
Open Web POS from the owner dashboard or the Download page on easykot.com. Its canonical address is pos.easykot.com. Keep the page open until it says “App files are saved for offline use.” Do not use a private or incognito window.
Create a setup code, or sign in as the owner
For a setup code, open Devices → Add device in the owner dashboard. Choose “Desktop App or counter phone”, enter a “Name”, then press “Create & get setup code”. On the “Connect this browser register” screen, choose “I have a setup code”, paste the “Setup code” and press “Connect browser register”. If the owner is at the counter, “Owner sign-in” also accepts the “Owner email” and “Password”.
Let the restaurant, menu and bill series download
Keep the internet connected after enrollment. Web POS downloads the restaurant data, menu and this register's bill series. Do not begin offline billing until the “Setup is incomplete” screen has gone and the register opens.
Treat this profile as the counter register
EasyKOT encrypts its local browser storage, but the browser can still remove saved data. If you see “This browser can remove saved data.”, check the browser's storage setting. Do not clear site data or delete the profile, and sync pending sales before changing storage. Deleted unsynced sales cannot be recovered.
Check offline reopening and printing before the rush
First check that pending sales have synced. Temporarily disconnect the internet, close and reopen the same profile, then check the saved menu and register. Reconnect the internet. Without making a customer sale, open Web POS settings → Print sample, choose the correct paper size and continue to the operating-system print dialog. Test on the same browser, computer and printer the counter will use.
How bills and KOTs print from a browser
Web POS prepares 58 mm, 80 mm and A4 documents. Print opens the normal browser or operating-system print dialog. Check the printer, paper size, margins and copies there. The printer must already be available to the operating system.
- The browser does not discover the printer. EasyKOT cannot know for certain whether the dialog was cancelled, failed or produced paper.
- For a KOT, press “Paper printed” only after every slip in the entire round has physically printed. Use “Print duplicate” when another copy is needed.
- A bill has no “Paper printed” confirmation. Check the physical bill after closing the print dialog.
- Direct USB, serial or Bluetooth control, automatic or background printing and the cash drawer are unavailable in the browser. Use the Desktop App for those jobs.
What about waiter phones, KDS and other registers?
A browser register cannot host the LAN hub. Other enrolled devices can share through online sync. For local sharing during an internet outage, keep a configured Desktop App powered on as the restaurant's LAN hub and keep the local Wi-Fi running.
