What happens when the internet goes?
Nothing at the counter. The register, KOT printing and settle all run on the laptop's own database. The footer shows "Offline · sales keep working", and the dashboard catches up when the connection returns.
Will it work with my printer?
If it speaks ESC/POS — which is nearly every 58mm and 80mm thermal receipt printer sold in India — yes. We publish no brand list, because the only honest test is your own printer: the test print is the check. Add the printer, print the test slip, and see the width ruler come out right. From the desktop register: network, USB, serial and Bluetooth. From an Android phone: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi/network printers.
Do I need to buy a tablet or a special machine?
No. Any Windows 10/11 or macOS laptop works, including budget 1366×768 machines. The captain app runs on your waiters' own phones. And if you don't have a laptop at all, one Android phone with a thermal printer runs the whole restaurant.
Can I run my restaurant without a laptop — just a phone?
Yes. The EasyKOT Captain app on one Android phone is a complete register: take orders at the table, print KOTs and GST bills straight to a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi thermal printer, and run the cash box — opening float, paid-outs, day-close count. Add a laptop register later on the same account. iPhones work too: they take orders and print to Wi-Fi thermal printers while the app is open — only Bluetooth printers need an Android phone or the register, because Apple limits Bluetooth printing to its own certified models.
Is it GST-compliant?
Yes. Bills are tax invoices under CGST Rule 46 with your GSTIN, an invoice series, CGST and SGST shown separately and round-off. At day close the register prints a document register listing every invoice number issued and cancelled per series, with a warning if there is a gap — so nothing is missing at filing time.
What do I pay after 3 months?

How do I stop, and what happens to my data?
There is no contract and no notice period. During the free 3 months nothing is charged, so stopping costs nothing. After that, stop whenever you like — you keep 30 days of grace to export your menu, bills and reports, and nothing is charged again.
Who helps me set it up?
A setup checklist in the dashboard, a Hindi/English demo video, and WhatsApp support from the people who built it. Most owners print their first bill within the hour.
Is my data safe? Who can see it?
Your data is encrypted on the register and isolated per store on the server. You can export your menu, bills and reports any time. We never sell or share it.
I have more than one outlet — is this for me?
Not yet. EasyKOT is built for one restaurant today: that outlet gets as many billing terminals, captain phones and kitchen screens as you want on its Wi-Fi, all inside the same ₹299. Reporting across several outlets, Zomato and Swiggy order integration and integrated card machines are not in this version. If you run one shop and want it to bill fast, print reliably and keep working when the net drops, that is exactly what this is.
