Send a KOT and check delivery status. A configured printer produces the slip when its connection is available; a paired kitchen screen shows the ticket when it is online. Add later rounds separately. Tell the kitchen before reprinting because a KOT does not carry the bill's DUPLICATE stamp.

A previously configured Desktop App saves orders and bills locally during an internet outage. Printing needs its configured printer connection and power. Local waiter-phone delivery needs the configured desktop hub and local network to stay available. Pending data syncs to the dashboard when internet returns. Counter without a laptop

Run counter billing on an Android phone.

Take table orders, send KOTs, make bills and close the cash shift. The phone does not include every desktop feature, but it can handle daily orders and billing when you want to start without a laptop.

  • Take the order at the table, then tap Send KOT. Add veg/non-veg items, Half/Full portions and notes such as ‘less spicy’. The order saves locally on the phone. Kitchen delivery is a separate status, so check Sent to kitchen or Not sent to kitchen. The next round sends only the new items.
  • Bluetooth or Wi-Fi thermal printer. Pair Bluetooth in Android settings, or enter a Wi-Fi printer's IP and port. After saving a 58 mm or 80 mm printer, run Test print. A definite failure retries in the queue for up to five minutes; after that, use Retry now.
  • GST bills from the phone. Bills use your configured business details and GST settings, with invoice numbers, CGST/SGST breakdowns and round-off. Review a sample bill with your accountant before live sales.
  • Know what the cash-box labels mean. Opening float is the cash placed in the drawer at the start. A paid-out records cash removed with a reason. At close, Expected cash is the system total; Variance is the difference from your count. UPI is shown separately.
  • Add the Desktop App later. It uses the same account and plan. If the Desktop App goes down, an Android phone that was already enrolled and configured with its printer can continue local orders and printing. A new or unconfigured phone does not take over instantly during a rush.

Android phones print to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi printers; USB printers connect to the Desktop App. The iPhone build is not in the App Store yet. The phone's basic Kitchen screen shows open tickets, Done and a Prep list; station filters and All day are on desktop KDS.

Printing

Connect a compatible printer. Prove it with a test print.

  • Discover and configure. The Desktop App can discover network printers. USB, serial and Bluetooth need a supported connection and the correct driver or pairing. Verify each 58 mm or 80 mm model with a test print.
  • Connect a new printer. New printer arrived? Configure its connection in Settings, select it and print a test slip. If the model or driver is unclear, check its manual or ask support.
  • Uncertain result? Review it first. If bytes may have reached the printer, the job parks immediately instead of retrying blindly. The sale is already saved, so the order is not lost.
  • For a definite failure, the queue retries for five minutes, then asks for Retry now or Discard. An uncertain job asks It printed or Print again (marked duplicate). A bill copy is marked DUPLICATE; a KOT remains a kitchen slip.

  • Bills from your configured settings: GSTIN, invoice series, CGST/SGST split, round-off.
  • Day-end document report with first and last numbers, issued and cancelled counts, and gap warnings for review.
  • Reprint any bill: stamped DUPLICATE with the same invoice number, so the original stays the only original.
  • Accountant-reviewed GST settings: confirm your store's rate and item tax treatment before configuring them. GST 18% (where applicable) depends on specified-premises rules and applicable declarations, not hotel location alone. Rates are not freely interchangeable. What happens when the internet goes?
A previously configured EasyKOT Desktop App keeps billing and settling from its local database. The footer shows "Offline · sales keep working", and synced reports catch up when internet returns. Local printing, Captain and kitchen screens also need their configured printer or device, router/Wi-Fi and power to remain available. The Desktop App must check in online at least once every 30 days.
Will it work with my printer?
It needs a compatible ESC/POS model and a connection path supported by your device. The Desktop App supports configured network, USB, serial and Bluetooth paths; Android supports paired Bluetooth and Wi-Fi/network printers. Add your exact printer and print the test slip before live use. We publish no brand guarantee without that model-and-connection test.
Do I need to buy a tablet or a special machine?
You can use a supported Windows or macOS laptop for the full EasyKOT Desktop App. Waiters use Take orders at the tables on Android and route printing through the counter. The separate released Run the counter mode can cover orders, settle and KOT/bill printing from one Android phone, but it does not put every Desktop App or owner-dashboard function on the phone.
Can I run my restaurant without a laptop — just a phone?
Yes, with the released Android Run the counter mode: take orders, send KOTs, settle and print KOTs or bills to a compatible tested Bluetooth or Wi-Fi/network printer. This is phone-only billing, separate from a waiter's Take orders at the tables mode. Some setup, reporting and desktop operations still use the owner dashboard or the Desktop App. The iPhone build is not in the App Store yet.

How do I stop, and what happens to my data?
Open Billing in the owner dashboard and press cancel. There is no call, notice period or reason to provide. The paid month or year runs to its end and is not refunded. After it ends, you keep 30 days of full access to your menu, bills and reports. We refund our own mistakes under the refund policy, including a duplicate or unauthorised charge, a charge after cancellation, or an unresolved fault.
Who helps me set it up?
The dashboard has a setup checklist and WhatsApp support from the people who built it. Complete the checklist and print a test bill; timing depends on your menu and printer setup.
Is my data safe? Who can see it?
Your data is encrypted in the Desktop App and isolated per store on the server. You can read your menu, bills and reports in the dashboard any time. We do not sell it; limited service providers process data to run EasyKOT as described in the privacy policy.
I have more than one outlet — is this for me?
Not yet. EasyKOT is built for one restaurant today: that outlet gets as many Desktop Apps, captain phones and kitchen screens as you want on its Wi-Fi, all inside the same ₹299. Reporting across several outlets, Zomato and Swiggy order integration and integrated card machines are not in this version. If you run one shop and want it to bill fast, print reliably and keep working when the net drops, that is exactly what this is.
