No — the tills talk over your shop's own Wi-Fi or LAN. Internet down, the floor stays shared and the kitchen screen stays live. Internet up, every till also syncs to the cloud independently, so the dashboard and any off-site kitchen stay current too.

The store keeps running. Every till holds its own full copy of the data, so nothing is lost — and the remaining tills notice the silence and one of them takes over as hub on its own within moments. When the original comes back, it rejoins as a regular member. No one in the kitchen has to know it happened.

Settings → Multi-terminal on the host shows every paired device; Revoke cuts one off immediately without touching the others. Pairing codes themselves can't leak into next week either — each is single-use and dead in five minutes. And the Captain-app switch turns every paired phone away at once, without unpairing them, for the day you want phones off the floor.

No — automatic discovery is a convenience, not a requirement. Some routers (especially shared building Wi-Fi) block the announcements it uses; the Join screen always takes the hub's address typed straight in, and the QR pairing carries the address inside it anyway.

No. A hub only ever announces itself to its own store — discovery is filtered by store identity, so a food-court's shared network never offers you the neighbour's register. And pairing still needs a live code minted on the host till, which only your staff can do.

Each till mints its own GST invoice series — T1/…, T2/… — consecutive within itself, exactly what Rule 46 allows. That's deliberate: it means two tills never have to coordinate to bill, even offline. The first-GST-bill guide covers the numbering in depth.
